The market is located just north of the Newport Pier on the beach. From Coast Hwy. follow Balboa Blvd. south look for and follow signs to the Pier. To see a map click the map button.

The market is open 7 days a week.(Weather permitting). Weather is the most important factor in determining if the market is open on any specific day. Wind is the fishermen's enemy and causes dangerous seas. The Dory fishermen launch their dory boats through the surf as early as 2 am to pursue the day's catch. They return to shore around 7 to 9 am with the early morning's harvest. On weekends and holidays, customers will line up at the boats to purchase fish. That is when the activity begins.
